Read Time:1 Minute, 27 Second

Have you ever seen a JCB digger dance before?

If not, you’ll love watching this short clip of Traction, which showcases the incredible artistic mind of Kevin Finnan MBE, Artistic Director of UK dance theatre company, Motionhouse, who bring their hit show Broken to Salford Quays on Saturday 16th July for FREE!

If you want to learn more about the exciting life and career of Kevin Finnan, sign up for a free place on our Artist Talk event at 3pm on Saturday 16th July at The Lowry.

Over the course of an hour, Kevin will take us through a career full of highlights. As well as making heavy-duty machinery move, Kevin was Choreographer and Movement Director for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Paralympics Games, a significant contribution to dance and his subsequent MBE award. And that’s to say nothing of being artistic director of one of the UK’s most influential dance companies since 1988!

There will also be time for questions at the end of the talk, making it the perfect opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about dance, digital, and arts and culture.

Here’s a short video of Kevin answering questions about what makes Broken such an unmissable event.

We’re very lucky to spend time getting to know and work with the most innovative artists living and working in England today, and nothing makes us happier than to bring them to Salford. We hope you can join us!

Broken takes place on Saturday 16th July at 9:30pm on The Piazza at MediaCityUK and is completely free. Click here for more information.
