Spring Forward at Quays Culture!

Read Time:1 Minute, 20 Second

Whilst we may have lost an hour in bed, we’ve also gained an extra hour of light in the evenings, meaning winter is officially well and truly behind us (even if it is still a bit cold and drizzly). With the change in season comes a chance to reflect, refresh and renew; and as we say imminent farewells to our current exhibition APERTURE, which closes on Sunday at 10pm, we’re also looking forward to our upcoming events.

We’re pleased to announce that this summer we will be working with the acclaimed UK dance theatre company Motionhouse, who will be bringing their smash hit Broken to the MediaCityUK Piazza on Sat 16th July for a one-off, free, open-air performance. We really hope you can join us for this exciting show – a dramatic fusion of dance, aerial work, digital projection and innovative staging. Find out more here, or watch the trailer below.

We also have opportunities for volunteer stewards to take part too. If you’re looking to level up your experience, click here!

We’re also looking even further ahead to our winter 2016 programme of events. This weekend, Programme Producer, Lucy Dusgate and Programme Manager, Laura Broome are in Amsterdam for a spot of artistic research & development and relationship building, while back in the office, Annika and Gareth are hard at work laying the foundations for a successful year of events. We can’t wait to share what we have in store!

How will you be using the extra hour of daylight? Connect with us on FacebookTwitter and Instagram to share your inspirations with us.
