Quays Culture’s Producer, Lucy Dusgate, gives us the run-down of her visit to Leeds for the SHINE Emerging Artist Programme interviews
SHINE is an art commissioning programme in partnership with Light Night Leeds aimed at supporting emerging artists in creating digital work for light festivals. This is the second year the two organisations have worked together on this project, with interest from other UK partners. SHINE alumni from the 2016 programme include:

This week I had the pleasure of meeting some very talented artists and seeing their proposals for new commissions for the two festivals – Lightwaves at Salford Quays: Home to MediaCityUK, and Light Night Leeds. We’ll let you know which artists have been selected next week, but in the meantime here’s a sneak peek at photos from the proposal process with one artist, Naifei Wu.
